Our good friends at Lollipop Theatre, in Dubai, have had a tough time with schools closed all round the gulf region this year. Their travelling musical shows usually entertain over 12,000 school children, in dozens of schools, each season.
But top Lollipop, Lori Dorman, has not been idle. She has come up with a couple of great new projects for the Christmas season. Her first project is “CURTAIN UP” an International Online Celebration of Theatre for Young Audiences.
Lori hopes this will be almost as exciting and thrilling as the real thing. She says: ” Whilst a whole generation of young audiences all over the world remain deprived of a theatre experience, CURTAIN UP is determined to keep theatre alive by reminding them of the wonder and the spectacle of this unique and unified experience.”
The first CURTAIN UP online celebration of International theatre for young audiences will run from 20th November – 6th December 2020, making the joy and excitement of children’s theatre accessible to the widest possible audience with an amazing selection of world class, top quality theatre performances from all over the world and all under one roof at the click of a button. .

Meanwhile, Lollipop’s second project brings her together with our old friend, Magic Phil in a special Christmas project,
Meet “The Elf Without a Shelf.”
Looks like fun! As it’s a virtual touring show, it can be seen anywhere.
